The hydrogen gas is trapped inside among the water. You have to separate it from water with electrolytes. It's very high intensive and expensive process. Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles will never work.

I believe Elon..and many others… was snookered by the anti-CO2 hysteria which underpins the EV market. People are quickly waking up to this. As for TSLA, if I were Elon I’d be looking into developing his EV’s for the home-delivery market…groceries, Amazon shipments, documents, medicines, etc. I envisage liability problems with robo-taxis carrying passengers.

I dunno. This market has always lures you in with its size and manufacturing prowess, then steals your tech and crushes your margins. The last time tsla went all in on China - it helped create the modern ev supply chain that has gone on to supply a bunch of low cost tsla hardware clones leading to a price war which is crushing margins. If he goes all in on fsd with China, he may be giving away all his tech again and repeating the same mistake again.
